What DiddySMS is

DiddySMS is a US non-VoIP SMS verification number service: rent a temporary phone number, receive SMS online or through the API, and pay only if a code arrives.

You rent a number for one app or website, enter it where you are asked for a phone number, and read the code on your order page when the SMS arrives. The number is assigned to you only while the order is active; when the order ends, it is released.

How it works

  1. Create a free account with your email address and a password.
  2. Top up your balance with crypto, from $1 to $500 per deposit.
  3. Choose the service you need a code for and rent a US number. The price is shown before you rent, and every price is on the pricing page.
  4. Enter the number in that app or website. When the SMS arrives, the code appears on your order page, or in the API response if you use the API.
  5. No code after a few minutes? The order expires and its price is credited back to your balance automatically.

  • Keeping a personal number private. Sign up for apps and websites without handing out your own number, keep the spam that follows off your phone, and decide later whether a new service deserves your real one.
  • Testing SMS sign-up flows. QA and development teams check that their own app delivers its verification codes, with a fresh number for each test run.

Prices and payments

  • One flat price per number, set per service. You pay from a prepaid balance that you top up with crypto, from $1 to $500 per deposit; there is no subscription.
  • If no code arrives after a few minutes, the order expires and its price is credited back to your DiddySMS balance automatically.
  • You can cancel an order 60 seconds after renting it, and its price is credited back to your balance the same way.

Coverage

  • US (+1) phone numbers only. Numbers from other countries are not offered.
  • Receive-only: the numbers receive SMS messages such as verification codes. There are no voice calls and no outbound SMS.
  • Some apps and websites do not accept rented numbers. If one rejects yours, cancel the order after 60 seconds and try another number.

For developers

The REST API covers the whole rental: list services with their prices, rent a number, poll for its code, and cancel or complete the order. Requests are authenticated with an API key you create in your account.
